Trawel
A downloadable game for Windows and Linux
Trawel is a historically-inaccurate open world text adventure RPG. Created as a re-imagining of old-school calculator and early command line games, it eschews their limitations but attempts to capture their spirit.
This version of the game is equal to the Demo on Steam, although they might not be updated in sync. The full game can be found on Steam here, which it comes with extra assets, although gameplay and accessibility should be identical for all downloads with the same version number.
Compatible with any narrator software that can read the terminal of your OS. Trawel versions 8b11 and earlier require a Java 8 JRE; Trawel 8b12 and up requires a Java 21 JRE- these are included for Windows and Linux in the download.

good game.
also, the github link returns 404
Thanks!
I privated the Github a while ago because it was repeatedly getting forked by AI bots (and thus spamming me with notifications of them stealing my work) despite not even being Libre software- I missed the external links section when removing mentions to it, that's now fixed.
This does unfortunately obscure my progress on the next update, which has been slow due to some emergent physical health issues, but it shouldn't be anything outside my track record (which isn't saying much).
